Abstract

In this work, we will develop a macro-scale hydrological model, based on the equation of balance, of resolution compatible with the existing atmospheric models. The parameters of the model could be estimated using information already existing in surveys of soil, of topography and vegetation, avoiding, in principle, the need for calibration using existing hydrological series and/or new measurements. The model will be tested comparing its results with observations from the existing hydrological series, with other hydrological models, and with SVATS models for the principal bays in Brazil. Its implementation will be put into operation in order to generate information such as storing of water in the soil, to assist in the taking of decisions related to agricultural activities. (AU)
