Abstract

This document describes a proposed renewal of the SciELO project for a further period of three years, between May 1st, 2011 to April 30th, 2014, with the specific aim of improving the quality of Brazilian magazines and so help to increase visibility, use and impact of national research. The project includes the development and operation of the SciELO Brazil Collection and Index, its interoperability with other international collections of the SciELO Network and referral systems in international indexing and scientific communication. The desired results for April 2014 are the up-to-date publication of about 300 titles, 20.000 original articles and reviews, approximately 500.000 downloads a day and help increase the impact between 15 and 20 journals with impact factor greater that 1 at the JCR.
