Abstract

DHMEQ is a NF-kappa B inhibitor with a potent anti-inflammatory and anti-neoplastic effect. The topical nasal use of this drug would in theory be an important therapeutical task, especially in patients refractory to topical corticosteroids. The anti-inflammatory effect of DHMEQ has been confirmed in arthritis, atopic dermatitis and even septic toxemia. In nasal polyps, previous studies in our center have confirmed the inhibition of inflammatory induction in nasal fibroblasts cultures. Nevertheless, further studies are highly recommended prior to in vivo studies. in this project, we aim to evaluate if DHMEQ can inhibit the inflammatory process in ex vivo nasal polyps cultures (AU)
