Abstract

The 1st SanCAS-MSE will be held to provide at least 100 graduate students in science and engineering of materials knowledge of major scientific and technological advances in vitreous materials, metallic, ceramic, polymeric and composite materials as well as the scientific outlook in the coming years. The School is addressed to graduate students who are pursuing a Master or PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) in graduate programs all over the world. Its main purpose is to convey to the participants an updated overview about the recent scientific and technological advances on MSE. The program has been planned to cover important topics relating the processing, properties and applications in ceramics, glasses, metals, polymers and compoWeb sites. All the lectures are given by invited speakers who are recognized worldwide by their scientific contributions in those fields of MSE. (AU)
