Abstract

The Blood Center is Ribeirão Preto is an institution of medical care, education and research linked to the Medical School of Ribeirão Preto. It houses the CTC - Center for Cell-based Therapy - CEPID-FAPESP. The Data Center of the Regional Blood Center of Ribeirão Preto has structure of servers and network equipment that meet the demand of its activities of medical care, education and research, and also provides internet connectivity by the backbone of USP Campus - Ribeirão Preto. However, with the growth of applications and the use of network and Internet it is necessary to fit the computer network through the acquisition of computer workstation to replace current PCs. (AU)
