Abstract

This research will study the behavior of two species of Trichogramma (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae), and T. exiguum and T. pretiosum in eggs of populations of Plutella xylostella under B. thuringiensis action; to verify the effect of B. thuringiensis on the predator Podisus nigrispinus, providing food to larvae of P. xylostella in cabbage leaves infected with the bacteria sprayed, and suspension of the bacteria in place of water, and characterized by molecular analysis of Brazilian populations of P. xylostella with ISSR-PCR method and the mitochondrial DNA (gene cytochrome c oxidase subunit I) and see if there are differences in susceptibility to insecticides between these populations and isolates of B. thuringiensis.
