Abstract

Among the several microscopic techniques, the Digital Holographic Microscopy highlight as a promising tool in material analysis trough transmission or reflection. This technique is based on the recording of micro structured objects holograms through a digital device (CCD camera) and on the reconstruction of these holograms through numerical methods. As a result, it's possible to obtain the intensity and phase information of the object analyzed, differently of the traditional optical microscopy, in which only the intensity information can be obtained. From this microscopic technique, new methods for analysis of biological and inorganic systems are been developed by the Group of Optics of IFUSP, specially the modalities of Photorefractive Digital Holographic Microscopy and Polarization Holographic Microscopy.
