Abstract

In this research proposal, we are going to study theoretically the following subjects: (i) Effects of electron-electron interaction on electronic conductance and electron-electron scattering through quantum dots confined in a quasi-one-dimensional structure considering electron spin states; and (ii) Bound states of two electrons and nonlinear screening in two-dimensional systems. The electrons are considered binding to a donor impurity center or suffering a modulation of external potential in the plane. We will also include some ongoing researches on small metallic atom clusters as part of the project. (AU)
