Abstract

This study will focus on four key questions. I. Does the use of 'tannin" extracted from the plant Stryphnodendron pollyphylium M. known as "Barbatimão" heal human diabetic and venous leg ulcers that do not respond to any other known therapy? II. Does the combined use of "Barbatimão" and low energy 830nm laser treatment promote healing of human diabetic and venous leg ulcers that do not respond to any other known therapy? III. Does the adjunct laser treatment and "Barbatimão" reduce bacterial infection of the ulcers? IV. Does the combined use of "Barbatimão" and low energy 830nm laser treatment foster the control of voluntary movement? (AU)
