Abstract

The visit is being proposed to facilitate collaborative data analysis and preparation of scientific articles, which will describe the bacterial leaching of Cu- and Fe-sulfides and biological weathering of micas. An effort will also be made to discuss and draft a joint research proposal, to be completed and finalized before the end of 2001 and to be submitted to a U.S. agency for collaborative funding. Besides, a short course (30 hours) is being proposed to be teach on Biotechnology Pos-graduate program about "Bioremediation and Biodegradation". (AU)
