Abstract
A new development in the Green function methods and one-loop effective description applicable to QFT with strong fields and unstable vacuum will be presented, and also its application to many problems involving strong eletromagnetic and Yang-Mills background fields at finite temperature. These methods, useful in QFT with uniform fields, will be generalized in the presence of a Aharonov-Bohm potential. We will also generalize our method of the canonical quantization of gauge models of the relativistic particle to a covariant approach.Professor Gavrilov will continue to fulfill the role of co-supervisor of phd students of DFN/IF and will lecture on QFT with strong fields for undergraduate and graduate students.
