Abstract

Activities Program. The visit of the professor will be directly related with the following research projects: a post-doctoral research, an exchange project and 9 sub-projects. The professor is going to collaborate to write some papers regarding exchange training which was previously done. Principal activities: *A course that is going to be given as part as the "Programa de Pós-Graduação em Biociências Aplicadas à Farmácia da Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas de Ribeirão Preto - USP". This course can accept students from "Programa de Pós Graduação em Imunologia Básica e Aplicada da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto - Departamento de Bioquímica Imunologia". The aim, abstract and program details of this course are attacked. *Write/discuss the paper from scientific training which was done by Claudia da Silva Bitencourt, in the Dra. Sylvie Marleau’s Laboratory, Pharmacy Faculty, University of Montreal, May to July- (financial support 2007/04741-4);*Write/discuss the paper from scientific training which was done by Caroline Belanger in the "Laboratorio de Inflamação e Imunologia das Parasitoses; Profa. Dra. Lúcia Helena Faccioli, Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas de Ribeirão Preto, Universidade de São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto"*Discuss about Projects under the supervision of Dra. Lucia Faccioli The researches started a scientific collaboration which has already resulted in a paper published in the Journal of Immunology (Sorgi, C.A., de Medeiros, A.I., Secatto, A., Fontanari, C., Turato, W.M.; Bélanger, C., Marleau, S., Haad Brief CV Marleau, S.K., Covas, D.T., Bozza, P.T. and Faccioli, L.H. Histoplasma capsulatum cell wall ²-glucan induces lipid body formation through CD18, TLR2 and Dectin-1 receptors: correlation with LTB4 generation and role in HIV-1 infection. Journal of Immunology 2009 ; 182 : 4025-35). Dra. Sylvie Marleau’s visit is going to improve the scientific relationship between the researchers involved in this fellowship. The period of the visit will be use to discuss projects and results obtained from the training that was previously done. Dra. Sylvie Marleau has shown interest in increasing the scientific relationship that could be extended to other researchers from this University. Moreover, Dra. Sylvie is going to give lectures that could improve knowledge the pos-graduated students. (AU)
