Abstract

The goal of this visit is to finish work started during my visit at the University of Hannover, from January to February of 2009, about the index of families of Boutet de Monvel operators. We expect to be able to generalize, using techniques of K-theory of C*-algebras, at the same time Boutet de Monvel's index theorem for boundary value problems and Atiyah and Singer's index theorem for families of pseudodifferential operators on a closed manifold.
