Abstract
The goals of the project are to 1) conclude the development of a Dirac-Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov code for the ground state of axially symmetric nuclei and develop a density-dependent effective interaction based on Dirac-Brueckner calculations in order to use the code to study nuclei at zero and finite temperature and 2) begin the study of light nuclei in the ab-initio shell model using a meson-exchange interaction between Dirac nucleons.
