Abstract

From specific ethnographic contexts - Haiti and Mozambique - we will advance in the debate on familiar dynamic, social transformations and extreme situations, as conflict or catastrophe. The State and the political institutions will receive special attention. The specific quarrels on the South of Mozambique and Haiti will compel to face the familiar dynamics in situations of conflict and even chaos. (AU)
