Abstract

This proposal for Dr. Schulz for the 6 months visit will be especially important for an already FAPESP-funded project Projeto individual 08/10937-1: Possíveis efeitos benéficos da inibição de metaloproteinases da matrix extracelular (MMPs) como coadjuvante de inotrópicos durante embolia pulmonar aguda - FAPESP. He will start new techniques that will lead to new data and knowledge to improve our understanding with this project. Specifically, we will study new intracellular targets for MMP-2, MMP-2 phosphorilation, as well as determine specific intracellular targets for MMP-2 in the heart, including the big protein titin.
