Abstract

The main goal of the activities developed by Dr. Rudiger Rudolf will be the learning and application of new imaging techniques that can assist in the elucidation of signaling pathways by which the sympathetic nervous system controls the metabolism of proteins in skeletal muscle. Additionaly, the researcher's visit will contribute to the viability of the research project entitled "Functional Interaction between the Cholinergic and Adrenergic system in the Maintenance of Muscle Mass and Motor Plate". Considering also the great experience of visiting researcher with methods of image detection in vivo, its orientation will be valuable for planning future experiments aimed at using the microscope emission of two photons, equipment recently purchased by the Multi-User program of FAPESP.
