Abstract

The contribution of Professor Frank Winnelfeld (EMPA, Switzerland) will be consolidated by discussion of research topics studied by the group POLI-USP, emphasizing the mechanisms and the phenomenon of adhesion; the formulation of sustainable concrete; effect of dispersants and air-entraining admixtures in hydration and consolidation of cementitious systems and implementation of thermodynamic modeling of cementitious systems techniques. In addition to, the teacher will teach lectures for the academic community in the course on Thermodynamic Modelling in Cementitious System and public seminar Eco-efficiency in cementitious systems: Progress and Challenges.
