Abstract

This research aims to develop in the context of informational products generation practices and studies on the Brazilian school library, the preparation of a guide to assist in the search, bibliographic knowledge and locating information, in electronic form, about school library and can be used by researchers and professionals in the areas of information science, library science and education, as for any other interested by the subject, and is available not only for the community of which we are part, but also to the external community. The main problem being addressed in this research is the development of bibliographical guide on the subject of school library, emphasizing national and international publications in university libraries in the library and information science, in the national context, i.e. universities, federal, State and municipal of Brazil. In this respect, we question: what difficulties we find for the search of information on the topic of school library? What researchers are those who seek contact with the theme school library? What Brazilian Universities researches the subject school library? What is the existing bibliography on school library in university libraries in the library and information science? The research involves gaining descriptive data and some techniques such as: the documentary sources, interviews and questionnaires, application, such as assessment tool. The dissemination of the research will be presented at the format of a bibliographic guide through both printed and electronic. (AU)
