Abstract

The research group led by the proponent has been studied Information literacy in educational environments. Prof. Miguel Ángel Marzal García-Quismondo served in various activities related to this theme, including guidelines, projects, courses of various levels and extension activities. During the stay of professor Marzal will be held meetings to present and discuss the ongoing investigations of the group, in particular the research proponent entitled "Information literacy and higher education: support for implementation of a program by the Library Network of UNESP". This research is type research-in-action e his aims are: reflect and consolidate the concept of information literacy and its applications in higher education; checking application forms and conditions of programs and activities focused on information literacy in higher education and in UNESP in particular, to know the programs and activities of information literacy for higher education in Brazil and abroad, developing actions for the implementation of information literacy programs for the academic community UNESP. The other research group focus on various aspects of information literacy in educational settings (including theoretical basis for CI programs, teacher-librarian, evaluation of IL, IL programs in higher education and indicators of interrelation of competence in information environments generation of corporate knowledge). We also intend to share the benefits of visiting professor through lectures to undergraduates and graduate in Information Science from PPGCI, in meetings with other research groups linked to PPGCI e with librarians of Unesp library network that are participating in the proponent’s research project.
