Abstract

The project links academic research and university extension through the creation of an observatory on Foreign Immigration to Brazil with special focus on inter-regional migration in South America. The goal is to collect data on the origin, education, motivations for migration, and Brazil choice as a destination. Other issues will also be investigated as those relating to their stay in the country such as the kind of work they do, the working conditions, their housing, access to education, health service, public services, and their difficulties related to immigration legal issues (AU)
