Abstract

The research intends to describe and to identify the characteristics of the relationship between migrants from "Nordeste" of Brazil to Zona Leste of São Paulo and no migrants. It also aims to register and to preserve the memory of old people from Zona Leste of São Paulo by recording their narratives. Once recorded and authorized by the interviwees, the life stories must be kept in an online public acervus at the website of GEPHOM/USP (http://each.uspnet.usp.br/gephom/). The oral history is the method chosen for this investigation. (AU)
