Abstract

The present request for funding is aimed at supporting the investigation of the properties of field theories defined in 2+1 space-time dimensions developed by a group of researchers in the Physics-Maths Department of the Physics Institute of the University of São Paulo and of the Physics Institute of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. For this purpose, we are requesting the acquisition of computer equipment and symbolic processing programs which are essential tools for carrying out the proposed research plan. (AU)
