Abstract

The analysis of the municipal and regional health network for breast and cervical cancer will be the first research subject of the Observatory. Other projects may be added, attending to local and regional demands. The results expected are to increase access to information on regional health, providing knowledge for the stakeholders - users, professionals and managers of the SUS; public health students, and citizens - and thus contributing to the improvement of the system. The establishment of formal agreements between the Universities of the Region and the Network of Health Services will open the path to further partnership projects in the field of Permanent Education on Health.
