Abstract

Agritourism has increased the demand for handcraft juice and wine Jundiaí (São Paulo State, Brazil). Currently most of the growers use common grape cultivars and the vines are conducted with a single cordon and vertical shoot positioning (VSP) system. Aiming to increase the incoming of the production process, the growers are using different trellis systems that influence productivity and microclimate of the vineyard. Therefore, an experiment will be developed aiming to characterize the yield and quality of the flowing wine grape common cultivars: Bordô, Isabel, Early Isabel, BRS Violeta and Concord, grown under the trellis systems: VSP; Double parallel cordon with sloped catch wires and Y-shaped trellis. The experiment will be run ("split-plot") where the factor A wil be the trellis systems and factor B the different grape cultivars. Each plot will be composed by six plants and four center plants will be used for evaluations and each treatment will have four replicates. In the center of each trellis system, consisting of four rows of grapevines, microclimate automatic stations will be installed for measurements, at the cluster level, of transmitted solar radiation and air temperature. In the external environment will be measured: solar radiation, air temperature and rainfall. The microclimatic data obtained at the different trellis system and external environment will be compared by "t" test. At harvest, the obtained values of the yield characteristics (production, bunch weight, number of clusters) and chemical of characteristics of the must (soluble solids, pH and total acidity) will be submitted to analysis of variance. The purpose is to identify the best cultivar and training system aiming to obtain high yields in the climatic conditions of the region in Jundiaí (SP). (AU)
