Abstract

Development and implementation of the Management System (MS) in the laboratories of the Instituto de Zootecnia in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025. The norm establishes criteria for laboratories which want to demonstrate their technical competence and have a quality system effectively able to generate technically valid results. Thus, managerial and technical members of the Instituto de Zootecnia should be qualified in the basic concepts required for the development and implementation of the MS in accordance with the standard. Thus a consulting firm will be hired in order interact with key people of the organization, giving them the concepts of laboratory management system, guiding them to carry out the requiried actions to attend the pre-established objectives. Internal politics and culture of the organization will be respected by the adding activities necessary to attend the accreditation requirements. (AU)
