Abstract

We will integrate some recent popular methods in the research line of nonlinear data analysisinto analyzing observational data from climatology. The principal objective of this proposal is topresent a novel paradigm for applying complex network approaches to quantify some new statisticalaspects of time series sampled from geoscientific processes, in particular with historicalarchive data from Amazon region. This work will substantially enrich the existing knowledgeof the climate variability in Amazon Region from a complex system's viewpoint, in an attempt todetermine the nature of climate changes in the region.
