Abstract

We will integrate some recent popular methods in the research line of nonlinear data analysis into analyzing observational data from climatology. The principal objective of this proposal is to present a novel paradigm for applying complex network approaches to quantify some new statistical aspects of time series sampled from geoscientific processes, in particular with historical archive data from Amazon region. This work will substantially enrich the existing knowledge of the climate variability in Amazon Region from a complex system's viewpoint, in an attempt to determine the nature of climate changes in the region.
