Abstract

Within Brazilian territory, Legal Amazon covers an area of around 4.4 million Km². Given that the Amazon region is rich in mineral resources, its exploration is a major factor in environmental degradation. Thus, the present study has the basic objective of proposing a recuperation plan for the area degraded by cassiterite mining with the National Forest of Jamari/RO. The study will be carried out in different stages which go from planning and laboratory analyses up to field experiments. (AU)
