Visiting Researcher Prof. Martin Schmal

Abstract

Worldwide-recognized as an expert in the field of catalysis, prof. Martin Schmal will stay the USP for 12 months as a visiting researcher. During his stay at USP, he will develop collaborative work with the group of INCT (National Institute of Science and Technology) on different research activities related to catalytic processes. The broad scope of research activities of the INCT will be benefited from the effectiveparticipation of Prof Schmal due to his deep expertise in the selection, preparation and evaluation of catalysts to be used/studied in different processes. Prof. Schmal will also offer a post-graduate course at USP on the topic "Nanotechnology Engineering", reaching the students interested in obtaining a morespecialized training in this area. (AU)
