Abstract

In the present project, the magnetic hyperfine field in RERh2 and RECo5 compounds, where RE is a rare-earth element, will be investigated by perturbed gamma-gamma angular correlation spectroscopy using 111Cd as probe nuclei. These data will add to Mossbauer spectroscopy data collected by Dr. Krylov. The aim of the present collaboration is to understand the coupling mechanism in the studied compounds by means of the magnetic hyperfine interaction data acquired by two hyperfine interactions techniques using different probe nuclei at different sites of the crystalline structure of the materials. Therefore, it will be possible to get a detailed description of the behavior of the magnetic interactions at an atomic level. (AU)
