Abstract

This proposal is being sent to FAPESP aiming at obtaining resources to support the visit of Dr. Michael Hemmer from the Techische Universität Braunschweigh (Germany) to the Institute of Computing of UNICAMP. The text of the proposal presents the research project as well the activities that are planned to take place during the period of the visit, which is expected to occur from August, 5th to August, 24th, 2014. The research topics include the development and implementation of exact algorithms for some combinatorial optimization problems arising in discrete computational geometry and related to the art gallery problem.
