Abstract

A procedure for identifying an equivalent dynamic model of a wind power plant is proposed in this research. The identification is split in three stages. In the first stage, the measurements of the power system after a disturbance, provided by simulation, are collected. In the second stage, a generic model of a power plant is chosen; and in the third a parameter estimation algorithm based on trajectory sensitivity analysis stage is developed. The parameters of the model (reactances, resistances, time constants, gains) are estimated by comparison of the outputs of the "Real System", composed of real measurements, with the outputs of the "Mathematical Model", composed of differential-algebraic equations of the chosen model, which parameters need to be estimated. The problem is approached as a minimization process, where the parameters of the model are updated in order to decrease the differences between the "real system" and the "mathematical model". This updating in the parameters is performed by a parameter fitting algorithm which will be developed in this research. The parameter fitness use trajectory sensitivity function to update the parameters. The parameters of the model are recursively updated until the process convergence which the model will be identified. (AU)
