Development and nutritional quality of rubber plants under new production system

Abstract

The production system of rubber budding plants underwent a major paradigm shift with the advent of new rules, according Instruction n. 29, August 5, 2009, from Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply and by Resolution 154, November 22, 2013, from Secretary of Agriculture and Food Supply of São Paulo State. The regulation and supervision of this new production system will enable best quality health and genetics of the plants, key feature of the increase expansion of rubber cultivation. The literature is scarce in studies on nutrition by fertigation and substrates in rubber clonal rootstocks in the context of the new production system. Therefore, seeking to generate information applicable to the productive sector, this proposal provides for the execution of three experiments and it purposes the bud-grafting process and initial formation of the plants. The water and fertilizer management will be by fertigation. The first experiment aims to determine nutrient uptake and to analyze plant growth. The second one aims to evaluate the viability of the use of three substrates. The third one aims to evaluate five clonal rootstocks. (AU)
