Abstract

Cooxupé is the biggest farmers cooperative in the world, consisting of 80% of the small owners. The cooperative export 10% of the coffee amount exported by Brazil. The crop monitoring and its management are some of the important factors of it success. Along of the last years the cooperative is increasing the technological tools to allow the crop information access as well as rendering the decision making more objective and consistent. In this context (social and economic/management aspects) this project itself presents as an important bias in the cooperative development due to be utilizing technological tools able to monitoring the crop and at same time to allow availability of the data and information on the Web. These tools include data survey and information generates using satellite images and systematization of the data surveyed in field that together will allow the crop monitoring and modeling the yield. The final ideia is to provide accessible Web-based information at all players in the cooperative (decision-makers and farmers). The results are very promising from the technological leap provided for this Project. (AU)
