Abstract

Although inclusion of special needs children is being processed at the country's government schools due to legislation, reality of those children and their teachers is far from the concept of "inclusion". Reports show teacher's distress for not feeling prepared to cope with different forms of disability, the rudimentary conditions of government schools, as well as the lack of integration of the children with peers and staff. Thus, this research, by making use of systematic weekly observations in different daily school contexts (classes, interval, entrance and exit), interviews with teachers and the production of the Drawing of Educational Pair by the children, aims to explicit the inclusion stories experienced by special needs children and their teachers.
