Abstract

The main goals of the exchange programme proposed are: (a) to provide an opportunity for face-to-face discussions for investigators with complementary expertise (microbiology, mycology, host immune response and drug delivery through the skin) of aiming to advance the area of dermatophyte infections; (b) to perform some experiments addressing this topic requiring our combined expertise and (c) to assess and evaluate each team's methodology and infection models for their potential integration in future joint grant proposals. We have planned two short 2-week visits (one investigator from UofBath to USP; and one from USP to UofBath) and experiments that will fit within that time span. (AU)
