Abstract

Human speech is directly linked to the ultrastructure of the vocal folds , without which it is not possible the vocal production within the normal standards and that is why it is considered essential to the preservation of anatomical and histological structures in all therapeutic alternatives adopted .Regardless of the cause , a tissue injury always triggers an organized complex cascade of cellular and biochemical events and results in a wound healed.1 Specifically in a phonosurgical post operative, it is believed that excessive scarring may impair the final result.Fibrin glue has been recommended in an attempt to reduce fibrosis . Can be used in many surgical and endoscopic procedures as a hemostatic agent and to facilitate tecidual healing. Its statement in laryngology is usually evaluated case by case, since it is a compound well tolerated in this region and with few side effects, but costly . It is usually used in fixing mucosal flaps or as a basis for grafts in Reinke's space , but few studies assess its effectiveness .Another measure that has been established with the aim of reducing fibrosis in the healing process are the corticosteroids . Steroids are molecules that regulate the organism to synthesize a large number of physiological and metabolic immune mechanisms. Corticosteroids are widely used for their anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties .Facing the need to decrease fibrosis after laryngeal manipulation the authors propose to analyze the interference of sizing, corticosteroid and their combination in the vocal folds after handling.
