Abstract

The aim this research is to evaluate the chemical properties, torsional and flexural resistance, geometric and superficial characterization of different instruments depending on the treatment of the league, after 3 times simulating clinical use. 120 instruments will be used, divided into 4 groups (n=30). Group 1 (M-Wire): 30 instruments R25 (25.08) system Reciproc (VDW, Munich, Germany); Group 2 (R Phase): 30 TF Adaptive instruments 25.08 (SybronEndo, Orange, CA); Group 3 (CM): 30 instruments Hyflex CM 25.08 (Coltene Whaledent-, Altsteatten, Switzerland); Group 4 (conventional): 30 instruments Medin (25.06) (Medin, Czech Republic). Chemical properties analysis will be performed by means of Spectroscopy x-ray energy (EDS). Torsion tests shall be carried out in a twisting machine for bench tests according to the specification n° 28 of the LONG-AWAITED. Geometric characterization and dimensional stability of the instruments will be held by means of measures of length of the active part, diameter of the instrument every millimeter of the active part, distance between the cutting blades (pitches) and tip angle, using the Image-Pro Plus 6.0 software (Media Cybernetics, Silver Spring, MD, USA). The superficial characterization and surface analysis of fractured instruments will be analyzed by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The flexion tests shall be carried out in a conter top device, which allow free rotation of the instruments in a artificial curved Canal, simulating the geometric boundary condition of instrumentation in clinical practice, considering only the efforts of flexion in the region of maximum curvature. The phases present in the instruments will be analyzed by x-ray diffractometry of x-rays (EDX). The results will be submitted to the tests of D'agostino and Pearson for verification of normal distribution. In case of absence of normality, will be employed non-parametric test of Kruskal-Wallis. Having normality will be employed the parametric test of ANOVA. For all tests will be considered the significance level of 5%. (AU)
