Facility adequacy and equipment and software purchase for research developing at School of Applied Sciences

Abstract

The School of Applied Sciences - FCA is a branch of State university of Campinas - UNICAMP which is still under implementation. With currently a total of about 2,000 students, distributed among six undergraduate courses. Currently, FCA offers four post-graduate programs: Sports Nutrition and Metabolism Sciences, with a doctoral degree that has begun in August 2013; Operational Research; Interunits Program in Science and Technology Policy, and an Interdisciplinary Program in Humanities and Applied Social Sciences. Another two proposals had been submitted to CAPES: Master's and Doctoratal degree in Sports Science. Considering the actual Research Facilities support structure and the increasingly growing demand to grant room for new Research activities, the Board of Administration proposes to invest the technical reserve funds from FAPESP in order to adequate the existing facilities by means of layout rearrangement such as new dividing walls and workbenchs, network access points and software and equipment purchasing.
