Abstract

The collection of the Library of Unesp Campus Sorocaba, composed of about 8000 items, is subject to theft, because the current electromagnetic anti-theft system is broken. The equipment already has more than 10 years of use (purchased in 2003). In 2012, it malfunctioned and underwent a repair. Since the beginning of 2015, the electromagnetic gate has malfunctioned again.Since the equipment will meet all the teachers and students of the Campus of Sorocaba, encompassing all Campus research groups, the amount spent for the replacement of the current anti-theft system represents an investment of collective infrastructure to support research. Demand is compatible with the standards for new library feature. (AU)
