Abstract

Since IBGE has published the PNADs microdata of 1992, 1993 and 1995, it has been possible to show the new character of a population (Brazil and São Paulo) living in the country side. The general goal of this research project is to rebuild the historical series of 1981/95, from the PNADs original data related to the ocupied population and rural employment. It is necessary to remember that there was a radical change at the criterion of numeration of population economically active. Since 1992, is included at PEA all the persons ocupied self-consumption. Besides that, the timing of ocupation was decreased from 15 hours to 1 hour per week. These changes make necessary a new tabulation of PNADs of 1992,93 and 95 in order to keep the comparability of the former data. (AU)
