Abstract

Publication which results from the systematization of the work carried out in the scope of the Regional Incubator of Popular Cooperatives of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). The work includes fifteen chapters, preceded by a foreword from the Rector and former Extension dean, Professor Dr. Targino de Araujo Filho, as well/ as a presentation written by those who have organized this work; the two initial chapters are related to how has INCOOP been constituted and organized, as well/ as its institutionalization process in UFSCar from 2011. The fool/owing two chapters have been dedicated to how has INCOOP been inserted in a wider context regarding solidarity economy. In the next chapters, the incubation method which guides the team in social interventions is presented and analyzed (while the full method can also be found attached), as well/ as the most lasting supporting experience from the team to a solidarity economy enterprise. Moreover, there are also presented educational and research-related activities developed by the Incubator, one experience which aimed territorial development through Solidarity Economy and which fundamentals have supported these actions, contributions to public policies in solidarity economy, experiences related to the proposition (or adequacy) of social technologies in this field, and, final/y, experiences related to solidarity finances and support to actions related to solidarity consumption.
