Abstract

Instituto Biológico has some multiuser units that support the molecular analyzes, laboratorial analysis, electron microscopy and unit for rearing insects. There is also a scientific collection, the Entomological Collection Adolph Hempel (CEAH), which requires adjustment for proper maintenance of the insects. The needs are: Purchasing a capillary DNA sequencer, installation of air conditioners with dehumidifier function and uninstallation of old equipment in the room housing the electron microscope of transmission, cold air condition in rooms used for laboratorial analysis, air conditioner installation, hot and cold, for the insectary rearing rooms, installation of hot and cold air conditioners with dehumidifier function in the CEAH, and the purchase of a server to internet. The project as a whole will adequate the units that serve institutional research projects and in partnership with other institutions, as well as research carried out by students of the Graduate Course on Food Safety and Environmental in Agribusiness of the Instituto Biológico.
