Abstract

One of the major bottlenecks in the planning of mining enterprises is the lack of a global view of the risks of the enterprise and analysis over time. Dynamic simulation is recognized as an excellent tool to evaluate processes in an integrated manner over time. Currently dynamic simulation is seen by the mineral sector as a lengthy and complex process. The main contribution of this proposal is the development of a generic model to expedite the development of simulation of mine-customer processes in mining systems. This model will be designed so that it can be applied in all phases of the mining project. The experience of the project team with dynamic simulation means that the project's scientific contribution is particularly relevant because the instances where the dynamic simulation is currently used in the mineral industry are limited to the final stage of engineering design (detailed design). This limitation hinders the risk assessment of the development of stochastic and integrated manner from the stages of conceptual and basic engineering design. The innovation proposed in this scientific project will allow the dynamic simulation is used more widely in all engineering phases in the planning of mining enterprises. The results will be published in international scientific journals of high impact and will also include the training of human resources at the level of undergraduate and graduate. (AU)
