Abstract

This project presents the need of using the resources of the Institutional Technical Reserve granted by the Foundation of São Paulo (FAPESP) for the implementation of a Platform for Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity for Critical Mission Services of the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM).Business continuity in the event of faults or extraordinary events and / or natural, has become an strategy in a center of research excellence such as CNPEM because the Information Technology (IT) resources have been increasingly used on the process of operation to produce scientific knowledge and for the creation of intellectual property.Given the increasing demand and complexity of IT services, align to the plans and guidelines of the Centre, this project aims to deploy a reliable infrastructure for disaster recovery and continuity of CNPEM businesses. This solution can keep running the operation and production of scientific knowledge of the institution in case of interruption of IT services in the event of a disaster. (AU)
