Abstract
Scheme Lab is developing a rapid DNA test to detect SNPs in DNA. The test is based on an innovative technology, the Color Probe. In the presence of a SNP, the Color Probe becomes visible to the naked eye. Accordingly, there is no need for detection equipment. This simplicity and corresponding portability are ideal for simple laboratories, that do not have complex laboratory equipment. In the Phase 3 PIPE, Scheme Lab will develop production prototypes of the rapid DNA test for use in agriculture and foods. (AU)
