DEVELOPMENT OF A PLASMA REACTOR FOR EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES OF THE LIQUID WASTE WITH ELEVATED CARBON CONTENT TREATMENT

Abstract

This proposal has as objective to develop an experimental plasma system designed for the water treatment for reutilization and study of the gasification process of liquid waste contaminated by the high carbon content organic material and water. In this system, the thermodynamic and kinetic models of chemical reactions induced by plasmas will be checked in order to evaluate the waste thermal conversion efficiency of residues into syngas. The project innovation is based on utilization of the plasma submerged in the treated liquid residues, aiming at an economical and environmentally friendly alternative compared to conventional treatment processes.
