Abstract

The main goal of the present proposal is to continue the process of updating the local network infrastructure of the University of Sao Paulo at the Sao Carlos Enginnering School through the substitution of active fast ethernet (100 Mbps) network switches with currently available gigabit technology (1 Gbps). This update process will enable significant improvements in the standardization of the EESC-USP network infrastructure adding new IT capabilities for researchers in this School, attempting to meet increasing demands of network access.
