Abstract

This project proposes to characterize and synthesize Zn-Ni alloys by electroplating for industrial coating in different physicochemical conditions, assessing the performance of these alloys with regard to mechanical stresses associated with the corrosion process. The results of electrodeposition will be analyzed by considering the Zn-Ni deposition efficiency, and the reuse of nickel industrial effluents. Characterization methods will be used in the best obtained alloys, as follows: Adhesion test of the deposited films, scanning electron microscopy, chemical analysis by ICP-OES and measures of current densities of corrosion by Tafel method. With the characterization of the alloy is expected to have most of the properties of these solids adhered to be used in corrosion tests. Nickel removal results will not only evaluate the leagues, but may assist in defining procedures for reuse of wastewater at the industrial level. The substrates containing alloys will be investigated in NaCl 0.1 mol/L. (AU)
