Abstract
This research aims at studying interaction in social media virtual communities, focusing on groups of cultural dissemination, social activism, education and journalism, in order to understand the construction of their discourse and participation from a multimodal perspective of language. To accomplish such an objective, this research will be monitoring different online communities, which will have their posts and comments analysed. With this project, I hope to collaborate to understand the linguistic-discursive practices in such groups, as well as critically reflect upon the different ICTs and their spaces of interaction as a means of social empowerment. Among the contributions that this research expects to bring are: the understanding of the processes of constitution of the multimodal language of groups in network and the creation of input for realization of literacy actions that are characterized by forming critical citizens and possible teacher training programs.
